there is no reason for anyone to be DUI (alcohol or drugs). It is the most preventable type of collision there is. The penalties are not stiff enough, they should be stiffer so people won't even risk it. In DUI accidents, it seems that the innocent person usually gets extremely hurt or killed and the person who was DUI comes out unharmed. If you drive DUI you should lose your license for a year minimum, no exceptions, $3000 and court/jail fees, and 7-14 consecutive days in jail, and that is just for the first offense. People would think twice. Its not that hard to not drive drunk, find a DD or be responsible yourself. Its preventable, just people who drive DUI don't care.

I think they're good when they're actually enforced. They need to be enforced more, drunk ppl shouldn't be on the road putting other's lives in danger.
