Guys tell all sorts of things just to get what they want, dear . . .What you did was right. . .be confident about it. . .You just did yourself a favor! ! ! Don't ever be sorry for preserving your dignity.

If this guy truly is in love with you, then he would not have to make a bargain or ask for favors.

Believe me, once he gets what he wants, he's gonna drop you like a hot potato.

Oh please...use your brain....the guy likes you, he's into you...willing to change, when he's a known player.....you do the math.

All I know is you should have given him a chance....just be straight with him and let him know that you don't play games and that if he's truly serious, then you'll give him a shot. If he turns out to be a jerk, then break it off, but see, now youre here at answers asking this question, you obviously feel guilty and unconfident. If you thought you did the right thing by saying no, then there case closed. No more thinking about that. But I think you know you didn't, that's why youre here, so someone can assure you that you did do the right thing. Be smarter than that please.
Peace. :)

He told you he will change, which is telling me that the two of you have already laid it on the table that you have those worries in mind, and it is reason why you don't want to get with him.

With that said, if he really likes you, he will want to prove it to you by showing he is changed. He would earn even more of your brownie points if other people, like your friends, see it, too.

So you didn't do the wrong thing. Who knows if he is just a slick talker, saying what he thinks you want to hear. Obviously, your intuition was telling you you shouldn't say yes.
Besides, your friends see it more clearly than you do. And they wouldn't lie about stuff like that.
So don't feel bad. Even though you like him, it isn't worth getting hurt and played.

Yes you did the right thing. Guys like that always try to say things that girls want to hear. Players will never change. Once a player, always a player. Plus do you even like this guy? would you trust him? Do you trust your friends, who you've known longer than this guy? never believe a guy when he says that he'll change for you. I know from experience. I have an ex who did drugs and i delieverd his baby 2 months ago. He always told me that he'll get off those drugs and change for me and the baby. NOPE, he's still the same and that's why he's my ex. Always trust you friends. That's why they are there. They are there to help and protect you.

you did do the right thing....there have been many times that i heard the words"ill chang for you" or " i never felt this way before" or even " i love you and that cant change" sumtimes it will be true but dating him could have gotten you into alot of trouble or u could have ended up being hurt....i think if he really means what he said he would figure out ways to let you know he means it and that he really does love you and he wouldnt give up on you so you did the right thing and maybe it will end up u guys are together but u made a good choice

well men dont change unless they feel strongly about what they believe in, and if you truly think that he could have changed because of you well maybe you did wrong, on the other hand, like i said they dont change maybe for a while but once they see what they used to like, they go back to their ways. believe me.

Of course he sounded serious, that's why he's a player (and sounds like he's got lots of pratice under his belt). Why don't u be one of the ones that play him at his own game, just smile and walk away.
