Yes, you can certaintly make you own massage oil. Start with a nice, light oil like Apricot or Sunflower, there are so many to choose from. You then add essential oils...that's it. You can make just an ounce or two at a time and make each batch 'custom'. Essential oils should be 3% to 10% of the total volume.

Go to a health food store and buy almond oil which is called the floater or base and get a really good essential oil. I love frangipani or rose. Just a tip though, if you use something like peppermint or an astringent kind of oil, keep it away from the face. Do not use sweet basil or rosemary oil on someone with high blood pressure. And if pregnant do not use at all any essential oil because some have been known to affect the pregnancy.

I have found that sweet almond oil tends to work the best as it is absorbed well by the skin and also does not have much of a secondary scent, so it has more of a true scent to the scented oils you mix in with it. The sites I saw by the other people who answered should be good in helping you get started in how to mix the oils.

Literally any type of oil will work. Of course some oils are better for you skin than others. Olive and soybean oils work nicely. Find an oil that works for your skin type and add some fragrance to it: lavender, vanilla, or your favorite perfume.
