If that person values you in there life then and knows trust is important to you then they will do any and everything to earn your trust back. How to reestablish trust depends on how the trust was broken. It is possible though

Trust comes from both parties. Since it has been broken before, both partners must be able to say that they have let go of the past. The partner that broke the trust must make sure that his/her partner understand his remorse, sorrow, and that he would not do it ever again. Then ask for forgiveness - both from the partner, and from the past because sometimes your partner (on a bad day) may find it hard to let go of the pain you caused. Once you both acknowledge the forgiveness from the past, then you can work towards rebuilding it again. Good luck. It is difficult, but definitely doable.

Its very difficult to re-establish something that important in a relationship.
Theres always a little voice in the back of your mind - that does all the "wondering" that you dont want to do.
My fiance has cheated on my numerous times, well - not a million, but at least twice. I love her with my whole heart, but I dont think I will ever be able to honestly trust her completely again...
Despite the fact that she has definately changed since all of the problems, for the better... I still wonder if she has a hidden agenda, or other plans behind my back.
Good luck; I hope it goes better for you, than me.

Find that sincerity down deep, and put it to work. Most people forgive the first mistake. Once you get that second chance, be trustworthy(always!).
Trust should get re-established, evantually.
Sincerity is the KEY.
Patience is the VERTUE.

All depends on who broke it and who has to live with the consequences. Some times broken can not be mended

If you decide the relationship, whatever type it is, is worth keeping then you trust that the same thing can happen again. Eyes wide open! Soul not deceived!
