I've also heard you can "Make" it buy pounding on regular ice cubes, but I would like to know where I can purchase it so I can keep my options open. I've never heard of it so all information is appreciated!

Cracked ice is just crushed ice. There should be a couple of ice houses in your area. Call them both and find out which one can accommodate you.

Make your cracked ice by wrapping cubes in a clean towel. Repeatedly slam the towel on a hard surface until the ice has broken into acceptable size pieces. Don't waste your hard earned $$ on something that shouldn't cost anything.

ice cubes can be turned into drink size bits in a blender or there is actually a handheld gadget that you can buy at kitchen type shops that works just like a garlic press.

are we in the usa or some country that doesn't have ice? option is to get a brain that thinks.
look outside your $10.00 motel room. there is an ice machine, just get a bucket of ice, drop it, and there you are. HEAVEN
