I will be 3 kids's step mom in a few months and I was wondering if my soon to be husband and I can go get my name on papers saying I am those 3 kids's step mother?

Your marriage license makes you their stepmother. If you want legal rights, then you will have to legally adopt them. Just don't forget that legal rights also means legal responsibility.

If you marry the man those kids are automatically your step children. You may want to consult an attorney for more information regarding this matter.

Your marriage says that you're their step-mother. There is nothing that you can get your name on unless their birth mother isn't in the picture, and you want to adopt them. That's it.

Other than their birth mother giving up her parental rights, and you having the kids full time, there's nothing that you can get that says you're their step-mother besides the marriage certificate that says you're married to their father.

No. Unless you are able to adopt them you have no legal claim to your step-kids. If something were to happen to your husband you would most likely not even be allowed to have visitation with them unless their mom allowed it, or you have children with your husband (His kids and your kids would he half-siblings)
