I majored in accounting and it was easy to find a job. Go with a top firm and after about six years you can leave for a top position in a corporation. It is definitely a six figure career track and accountants are always in demand. My friend set up her own tax business and she pays her help six figures, so she must be making a lot more.
From accounting, I worked in accounting systems, strategic planning and executive compensation and board of directors reporting. I loved all of these jobs. Opportunities were always coming my way. I never had to write a resume or look for a job. The jobs came to me.

I regret that I did not get a degree. Looking back hopefully will give you some wisdom. What I have found is that if you have a specialized area of that you persue a degree in, that line of work may not have the demand that you anticipated. I think business management is not going away. That might be a good choice, and will help you if you are just looking to succeed. Knowing, business, finance, marketing, and anything to do with how to run a business is a good choice I think. I'm not sure about getting a job right out of school.

The thing is, you can probably get the job you want with any of those majors. Go for the one you are most interested in and will get most enjoyment out of. If you choose Journalism you can do a lot of research on your own time in psychology and business and apply them to your Journalistic practice. A major can help guide you toward a job, but its really Grad School and post graduate work that will lead you to a specification. Other wise you can get a job in pretty much anything after you graduate.
Choose a major you will have fun with and will inspire you to learn.

I know you said that the college you are currently attending doesn't have accounting or business management, but I think one of these two would be your best bet. You might want to think about transferring to a different school. I just started college in the spring (I am in my 3rd quarter in a tech school, majoring in computer programming) and graduates in almost all business related majors (accounting, business management, data processing, and yes, computer programming) are quickly placed in jobs. Psychology would probably be a good choice, too, but I know a business related major would virtually guarantee quick job placement. Good luck!

Out of the three choices you have with that college I would think broadcasting would be a good choice, there are so many things you can split into from that broad field. I'm pretty sure it would even cover parts of the other 2 choices.

Get some job experience while in school with work study. You'll get your feet wet and get some contacts when school's done. You'll also will get a feel for the field and decide whether you should be in it or not. Most people change their careers four times in their lives btw.

It really depends on the main career you want to go for. I mean one class won't take care of a million career choices. You have to pick the subject most connected to the career you want the most. So sit down for amintue and think about where you want to go....i'm sry if this isn't much help.
hope it helped a bit
good luck

They always say major in what you enjoy. My suggestion is to go to a career counselor. A career counselor should test you for your interest which may help you chose a degree that fits you.
I have seen most people fall into their field by chance unless it is highly specialized.
