For all of the quick weight loss diet pill suggestions, remember, if something sounds too good to be true... it probably is. Be particularly skeptical if it involves buying something. Here are some aggressive but realistic ideas.
On Yahoo!Answers I find certain questions being asked repeatedly which is simply a reflection of new people participating. A couple of common question amounts to "How do I lose weight," or more specifically, "How do I lose abdominal fat?" I have gotten very positive responses from my answers when I paused to reply (and now beginning to get "It works!" emails that are very gratifying. I like helping people)... so have recently decided to put a good solid answer on my Yahoo!360 Blog (September 10) that I can point people to. These are my thoughts as a physician and athlete.
Don't target losing more than about 2 lbs per week. If you try to lose faster, your body will go into "starvation mode" and get very stingy about burning calories while at the same time very efficient about storing any calories that you do provide. And it will make you feel awful.
There is no site specific way of losing fat... the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
To lose a pound of fat, you need to eliminate about 3500 calories. You can do this by burning more with exercise or by modifying your diet to reduce intake. If you do a Google search on say, "swimming calories" you will quickly find a website with tables of calories burned for a given exercise. You can use such lists to estimate how many calories you are burning up with your routine.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet... that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat... abdominal muscles will form in the position that you work them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.

First of all its a known fact if you loose weight too fast you are mostly likely going to put it back on soon as you start eating more again.
Drink lots of water, eat sensibly ,(fruit and Veg, salads)small portions but say 5 times a day so you don't feel hungry
Regular exercise so your muscles and skin tighten as you loose the weight, exercise daily, and walk if you can at least 30Min's a day.
I also recommend you have someone monitor your weight loss if you can, a doctor or maybe an organisation that is for this purpose, you will also find some support to stick at it if you are very overweight

Change general nutrition and lifestyle habits. Adopting a number of simple but significant dietary and behavioral changes can be enough to jump-start weight loss for many people. For instance, monitor the number of calories and grams of fat you consume each day and try not to exceed USDA guidelines.[4] Similarly, avoid the aisles in the grocery store that stock sodas, cookies, ice cream, pizzas, and other fattening and highly processed foods so that you are less likely to purchase unhealthy options. Prepare food at home instead of buying fast food. Do your own gardening or wash your car to burn calories and get things done around the house. Park further from the entrance when you go shopping, and take the stairs instead of the elevator. Small dietary and activity changes can add up over the course of a day, and can start making an impact on your weight within a week. These simple changes add up by helping you consume fewer calories and burn more calories - the key to successful weight loss.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Calestetics (not sure on the spelling), running, walking every day.. things that keep your body moving are good ways to lose weight.. though loosing too much weight too quick is not healthy.. you must take things slow.. I dont know how much you weigh, nor do i know how much you wish to lose, but you do need to be careful, and do research before you use any of these "weight loss pills" as they work by keeping your brain from telling you that your hungry, thus you dont eat, and your body feeds off of itself, and you turn out looking like a tweeker.. best thing to do is eat a healthy diet, and stay away from fatty foods like McDonalds, and create a routine exercise plan that fits your daily life...

Sarcastically speaking- Suck that fat out
Real Answer- don't do an extreme diet to lose weight fast or exercise like there is no tomorrow. Because once you lose that weight and go to the event you lost it for (isn't that why we all want to lose weight? To look good in a dress or impress someone?) once you go back to your old ways the pounds will fly on even faster then they left. Instead of hating the way you look and wanting to drop the weight quick. Learn to love the way you look. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, become the beholder and see the beauty that is already there.

losing weight fast is not good for you first of all. second, you can lose the weight moderately with watching what you eat, exercising, adding more fruits and veggies to your diet, eating 5 small meals a day vs. 3 big ones. also, eat breakfat, do not skip meals since your body will use up your muscle! there is no magic cure or pill for this but rather a change in your lifestyle, working out 3-5 times a week, watching what you eat, but as well as eating everything in moderation-that is why the Europeans are so skinny! they eat but everything in moderation!

Dont go for the fast. Go for the life changing way of living & loving yourself first then exercise at least 3 times a week and eat smaller portions of the things that are good for you and a lot less of the sugary sweets and bread. Think about your health and forget about the weight. The end results will be life lasting. Don't try to rush so you can fit into that pair of pants or dress so as to impress someone, love yourself and let others love you for who you really are. God Bless

losing weight and fat are like two things on the opposite spectrum. if you usually try to lose weight the natural 'right' way, you'll usually achieve it at a pretty slow rate.
now, using diet pills, hardcore training and crash dieting will work... but for a very very short period of time because you know its impossible and unhealthy to keep up that way...
your best best would be simply move more, eat less. follow a proper workout routine and a healthier diet.

it usually isnt good to loose weight fast. cause if you loose like, 10 pounds in a week or something and you're like 'omg, yes!!' then it would be a whole lot easier for you body to gain that 10 pounds back and more. so it's a slow, step-by-step process for weight loss. not like BAM u lost 50 pounds
