That depends on the dog. It could go either way. The male dogs I had spayed mostly ended up squatting...unless they notice another dog has been around and then they want to mark trees and such and then will lift leg.
Usually it is the surgery that gets them to squatting. They are in a little discomfort and will squat after surgery and then they make it a habit. The dogs that are in no pain will more less still lift leg.

People may not agree with me, but I think it depends on the dog....
We have 6, all neutered males. One Border Collie, the Bloodhound & both French Mastiffs all "lift". The other Border Collie & the English Bulldog both "squat".
Removing the testicles does not diable the dog's ability to lift his leg... He will do as he chooses.....

He may still lift when urinating, and may squat, but this isn't a problem and doesn't change your opinion of him as your loyal friend and member of your family. I once had a two year old male who after he was neutered both lifted and squated according to his mood, but he remained his same playful, lovable self.

ok... I see you probably did take him to the vet these days and asked approximately this. became the female who pronounced he must be peeing like this for years the vet? or became she an assistant? If it became the vet, that's extremely not a solid remark. Did the vet examine for worms and for a urinary tract affliction? those are 2 issues that may set off loss of administration and indoor injuries in an otherwise homestead experienced canines. If those exams weren't finished, touch your vet and request that they be finished when you consider that they weren't and the project is getting extremely extreme. the place do you reside that a usa vet costs exhorbitant expenses like $3 hundred/bypass to. i'm in east TN and a uncomplicated bypass to could be approximately $30. The professional I take a number of my canines to, the visits could run as much as $a hundred yet that's often with a minimum of one try being run. I stay in an exceedingly rural area in the U.S. and that i don't bypass to the only vet who's costly out here. -!-

The dog will pee the same as it did before. If you don't like your dog marking things u should have got him neutered before he started doing it. Once he starts, he'll keep on doing it. My chocolate lab is annoying!!!

after two years old, even when neutered, the dog will always lift to pee. it's a natural instinct.

Neutering has nuthing to do with HOW they pee. But it will stop him from marking and if he's hyper he'll calm down a bit.

Did the question really have to be asked????
A male dog lifts, and a female dog squats. Always have, always will.
Thank you for the two points.
