why do christians get so upset over religious questions? are you scared of something if you truly beleive in it why would it bother you so? no one is trying to change your beliefs just seeking info. I always thought the true purpose of the church was to convert not challenge or offend. I someone not doing the christian thing uh uh uh not good maybe we should try harder um?

I took the liberty of looking at ur other questions and I commend you for ur Politeness but I didn't see a christian get upset with you nor did they keep from answering ur question. You say you are speculating but you have already made up ur mind about the bible by saying that it is "a fairy tale" which offends some believers becaus they believe in God and his word and they feel that it is an attack on them as well as their beliefs. There are alot of people on here who are trolling and want to attack with insults so please stay the way you are and keep asking questions with intellect. Welcome and Enjoy!

I don't know why they get upset. Maybe it's the grief and sadness they feel over your lost soul. My goal as a Christian is to not convert someone but to tell them the good news of Christ so that they can make a informed descion about what they believe. I care about all people and I want all people to go to heaven and not hell. I want to tell them there is a better life out there for them waiting here on earth and in the afterlife. I am not afraid to answer your questions because I used to be wiccan and then I went back to God. Click on my picture send me and email and I would love to answer any questions that you may have if answers is truelly what you seek. But firts let me correct you on one thing---The church was not made to convert people. The bible was. The church is only a sociol setting where fellow christians can get together and praise God, seek guidance, and pray in not only the strenght of God but also of each other. For Jesus said where 2 or more gather there I will be. Therefore church is a wonderful place to be for it is his house. I beg of you to please email me so that I can answer your questions. I've been here almost daily (yes, I don't have a life) and I see the non-believers being more rude than the Christians. We Christians do get upset because we feel it important to defend God, our faith, our religion. God is number one in our lives and we will fight for our right to freely worship Him anywhere at anytime. God told us to tell others about Him. Sadly, some Christians are rude also but I think many are so devote in their faith that when they hear someone "diss" the Lord, they get upset and rightly so. We are defending the existence and word of our Creator. Non-believers are defending no one, so why do they get upset?

for my answer if I can. Really you sounded a bit upset in
your question. Is someone trying to change your beliefs?

I don't get upset. but I do get upset when no matter what answer a Christian gives anyone. they get another question asking why are Christians so brain washed. seems like you can't win.

True. True. I am ashamed to say that many if not most Christians are not at all sure of their beliefs. They are taught not to ask questions of their faith. So instead of using historical and/or scientific facts to strengthen and reaffirm their faith, they are terrified and run from being confronted with anything other than the intangible.

People who have questions about their own faith usually don't like being questioned. Without a firm foundation to build one's faith upon, one tends to avoid questions, as to not upset the "hosue of cards".
