Just be honest and tactful. Talk to him the same way that you would want him to talk to you if the shoe was on the other foot.

The truth about what your age, obviously he doesn't care, 30 is not old, but if it is affecting you for whatever reason you should tell him. If you are not satisfied with his companionship by all means you should tell him..he is in the age bracket where he is still on the hunt.. So good luck keeping him occupied, and busy.Hurting someone would be to not tell them the truth because Murphy's Law will come around to bite you in the a@@ and he will find the truth out by someone else anyway.
