Being a non-christian, Nordic Heathen type, I can't be 100% certain, but the last time I cruised through the bible I didn't see anything that said "And ye of brown skin shall stay south of latitude 32 and picketh not the vegetables and moweth not the lawns and washeth not the dishes of thy wealthier, slightly pasty neighbors to the North without the appropriate work and residency permits."
But ya know, I could be wrong.
Incidentally, Hospitality is one of the Nine Noble Virtues of Asatru because (in part) the All Father himself has been known to come to our realm in human guise and spend time with us. He is usually disguised as a beggar or wanderer. I'm pretty sure the christian god would have this power as well, right? So you must be hospitable as you never know who you're really dealing with, do you?

Hey. Good question. Why don't you ask Him?
I think God wants us to obey the laws of the land, but I'm sure he's also compassionate enough to understand when someone who is poor is only trying to survive, and find some humble work picking cabbage in some field.
It's a slightly different story when people come up here just to take advantage of our institutions, but don't pay taxes.
Oops! I don't want to give any politicians ideas.

Not being a Christian and not knowing the Bible, I thought Jesus himself traveled from country to country to preach. Did he carry a passport? Did he get a visa and entry permit from the countries he visited? If not, he was an illegal alien.

It is a sin because it is breaking the law, so God will be against it. All laws, including this law, were inspired by God, no matter who made them. A law is a law and if it is broken, it is a sin.

The key word is illegal. God was all about laws and not breaking them.

I don't think he would have an opinion one way or the other on immigration.
He maybe wonders why the world is divided up into countries though.
