Sin?
I think Polyamory is fine, but only if you can do it. There are people who can do it and do it for years, but statistically it's rare and while I have no numbers to back this up, there is a great potential for heartache. But if you're open and honest with your partners, and you set up ground rules for what to do if it starts going south, then why not?

"Commited relationship" seems pretty much like a marriage, just without it being official. I would think that if you consider polygamy a sin then you should consider polyamory a sin too, but I think that if everyone is happy with the situation then there's not really anything wrong with it. It would be difficult to avoid jealousy issues though. Also, polygamy isn't just when a man has multiple wives, it can be a woman with multiple husbands, or multiple husbands with multiple wives.

I will answer your specific question; yes, because marriage is not an institution created by man, it is an institution established by God, to be one man, one woman, for life. Anything that does not hold to that is not what God intended.
Now...we do live in a fallen world...you do find that God "allows" for divorce..Jesus even mentions this. But it is not presented as a viable option, but rather due to the "hardness of men's hearts".
You asked if it was a sin. Call it whatever you want, it's not a marriage. Of course, in today's relativistic society, why are you even worried about that? It's just another lifestyle choice, right? Like NAMBLA or Bestiality.
And even if those don't offend you, there is a lifestyle choice that someone is making that you find so reprehensible, so disgusting, that to you, surely it's wrong. And therein lies the problem with moral relativism.
Absolute truth, people. It's a beautiful thing.

A sin? Yes, in my opinion it is. But God is the judge---I am not.
A choice? That is also a yes. I dont agree with it but everyone has their free agency to choose. That is the beauty of this life. Whether we choose right or wrong, we ultimately choose.
I believe that Polyamory is a not commital EASY way out for people who are afraid of commitment. I believe it is wimpy---because it does take work to keep a commited relationship together.

Sin lies in hurting people unnecessarily. many diverse religions coach that many stuff are sins. The old testomony says that that's a sin to permit an adulterer to stay, and says that that's a sin to touch a woman for the time of her era. The Koran tells us that that's a sin to do company with an unbeliever. Do you suspect that those issues are sins? Too many people concentration on intercourse whilst they think of roughly sin, and don't think of roughly something. I blieve that what you do with love on your coronary heart isn't a sin, and that what you do to harm people unnecessarily is a sin. Polyamory isn't a sin, yet treating people badly is a sin.

Of course it's not a sin! Polyamorous groups are harder to maintain than typical couples, because they're more people in the equation, but once everyone's gotten things down, I think they can be more fulfilling and stable than monogomous couples. (Think about it; the most stable geometric shape in the words is a triangle; a three-legged stool, even when the legs are all different lengths, never wobbles.) And I know we're talking about groups of more than just three, but I've only ever been involved in a triad, so I'm speaking from personal experience.
And I may be a freak in this respect, but I can't get jealous. I've never been jealous, or possessive, and I think that's because jealousy is borne of insecurities, and when you're confident that the people you're with love you, then you can't HELP but be happy that they love each other, too!

How can honest, consensual love without deception be a sin? Love is a good thing, not a bad one.
And I laugh at the people who say it's a wimpy way out for people who can't commit. Polyamorous relationships ARE committed, that's what makes them different from swinging or casual sex. While not exclusive, they are committed, long-term, and *loving* relationships. And if one committed relationship is difficult, imagine how hard more than one is. However, the rewards of all that work are well worth it. More love, support, and friendship for everyone, less lies, cheating, and misery.

Having sex outside of marriage is sin by itself, whether its two or three or honest or whatever, im not judging, just know the word of God, im not married, and i do get involved, but i ask for forgiveness, and all i can do is to try and do the right thing. I have nothin against those that live that kind of life, they too will know the truth one day. We all have faults.

I'm in that kind of relationship, and it works for us. If all parties are aware of the situation and they are ok with it, then I think that it's a good thing. In the end it's your relationship, you make the rules.
