Are we dating?
We've been friends for almost a year, he is in a "pseudo-relationship" (technically engaged) to a woman in another state. He calls me everyday, wants to see me a lot, etc. The other night he picked me up and we went to dinner and a movie. He includes me in family things and watching football with his buddies. The other day he made a comment to his buddy in front of me "you know when you start dating a girl and after a few weeks you start to develop feelings for her, and you call her everyday, and want to spend a lot of time with her...". When we end our evenings together he always says "thanks for coming out with me tonight, I had a really nice time. I'll call you tomorrow." He occassionally call me sweetie and his friends and family treat me like I am his gf. He introduces me as his friend. Somebody please tell me what he is up to!
PS- he knows I have a thing for him

He needs to fish or cut bait or you need to get used to the idea you are one of the two women in his life.

Personally, I wouldn't stand for it if I were you. He is getting to have his cake and eat it too.

He might have feelings for you. If he does he should break off his "technical engagement."

Okay what is really going on? YOu said that he has a pseudo relationship. Honey pseudo means fake but you says he's technically engaged. He better be pseudo not for real with that! Because you guys are "technically dating", and just because the girl is in another state makes it technically cheating then if they are together. But yes you guys are dating if you spend time together and you're involved with the family. ANd you can be friends and date... There's different levels of friends you know.. You don'thave to be boning each other to be dates or boyfriend girlfriend or whatever. But maybe he's calling you a friend so that he can still see you and not compromise is engagement! Because if the family knew how close you guys were maybe it would be some drama. But girl it sounds like he trying to pull a fast one. If a guy is your friend and just a buddy friend he ain't gonna do all of that now.. He'll probably let you hang out and stuff but going out to dinner+ movie=date. Do the math!

After reading what the other two people said, he is probably lonely and misses his gf so he is using u as a substitute gf. I hope it all works out for you. I know what I wrote seems harsh. good luck finding your special someone

sorry but you are just friends. if you were anything else then he wouldn't introduce you to everyone as his "friend". maybe he just likes spending time with you. why make a big deal out of it???
