I once had a male and a female cat. After a few months, the female one gave birth to 4 all-white kittens. I liked them so much that I peeked them all the time. After one week, maybe because of that, the mother stopped letting her kittens to suck breastmilk. Two died but two survived, one of them was the one I was talking about.

Generally it's good to let nursing babies feed in peace and quiet, even if you mean no harm.

It can if the mother's not famillar with you. If she is then it depends on her temperment. However I suspect the mother would have abandoned the babies anyway, she may have been ill and could not longer safley nurse her kittens, or may have been abandoned as a kitten as well. Usally a kitten is weaned by 8 weeks (2 months) and should not be removed for 14-16 (3 1/2 to four months) to allow for proper socilization. Be assured if she was scared she would have simply moved the nest and/or attacked you.

It depends on the temperament of the mother cat but it is a good idea not to "peek" until the kittens are weaned.
Please don't feel bad because you meant only the best for those kittens!

Peeking but not handling should be OK but the mother needs to feel secure around you. In wild cats feeding would take place in a safe 'den', so maybe providing somewhere like that; a box or basket for the kittens to feed in may provide the security the mother is looking for.
As regards your previous cat, there could be a whole different set of reasons why she stopped feeding her earlier litter, including feeling unsafe or vulnerable.

dont ever bother them. before 8-10 month of age for kittens or puppies, always leave them alone with their mother. if u keep peeking at them, the mom will feel insecure and be like 'wtf' and leave two of her kittens n feed only other two. or maybe its because she doesnt have enough milk for all four and the strongest survive (but considering she's a house cat, i doubt it).
so just leave them alone if u dont want the rest to die. when they open their eyes, then you can start to socialize them. of course, always call ur vet to double check

It didn't have anything to do with you. If momma was scared, she would have protected her babies, by scratching and biting you. The babies were too young and dumb to be scared. If you would have stuck your finger in their mouth, they would suck on it, and not know the difference. The cat didn't have enough milk for all her kittens. Nature is a long way from being perfect.

You put undue stress on the mother when u don't leave her alone, so grow up and leave her alone. Maybe I'll come over and peek at u all nite and day, how's that sound?

I have a hard time feeling you should be responsible for animals if you can't demonstrate any better sense than these questions show.
