I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. My recommendations on a tattoo would be to either find a cute picture of her face and have it tattooed on your body, with her name and/or date of birth and death. But another one that I would would be extremely cute, is to get a tattoo of her feet on your body, with her name and/or date of birth and death. I know that they usually take prints of the fingers and feet at the hospital, so you can probably just use that. Whatever you do, find a GREAT tattoo artist! Make sure that you actually see pictures of THEIR work, not stuff from the internet. And make sure before you get it, go talk with them directly, see what they say. Go in with a couple ideas, then they could more than likely tell you what would be better due to aging and everything. Good luck, and again, I'm sorry for your loss!

I am so sorry for your loss, I have a grand-baby who is one and a half months old and I could never imagine that she would suddenly be gone. To you she is ageless and will be forever in your mind. It should be placed on your body so that it is easy to conceal because the feelings for her are your privatee feelings and you should have the ability to share then if you want to or not, that is why it might be nice to have it on a part of your body you can keep privat if you want, except from your most intimate partners that is and they should know about your girl anyway. What was her name? When you think about her what comes to mind? I have seen memorial tattoos on people before and they are quite elaborate and based upon the persons life. Since your daughter had such a short life maybe a symbol of a rose bud or similar flower could indicate that she was a beautiful girl who never had the chance to mature. I think symbols are important that is why I asked you what you think when you think of her, go with it, allow yourself to feel her and it will come to you.

I don't really like tattoos, but in your case I think it's appropriate. Where you put it, too, may be as important as what it is. If you're a Christian, or even if you're not, there's nothing better than a cross. Possibly something with your favorite flower entwined around it. You will know what's best for you and the best place for it. I'm sorry for your loss.

Count the number of days she was with you. Get a tattoo with her name and the number of days she was with you. Put the tattoo where only you and those people you want to can see it.
Please believe God loves his children. She is is a wonderful place, now, and you will see her again. Our existence is way more than the physical. I'm not preaching to you, honest, it's just what I believe.

First I want to say that I am so sorry for your loss.
I like the idea of angel wings connected by her name, with the dates underneath it. Maybe a heart with angel wings on each side and her name and the dates inside the heart. I also like the previous suggestion of getting her picture on you.
Here is a link of a yahoo image search for wing tattoos kind of like what I had in mind.

Something classic, perhaps hidden somewhere like the outside of the upper thigh... If you want to be unique don't do the lower back...However, allot of people say that tats in that area are sexy... No images, don't do lots of color it will fade with age.. No skulls or dragons, webs, knives, get the picture.... symbolism can be really cool if it's done right... Chinese characters, Polynesian designs can be cool, some other personally defined symbol

Im sure that with you being a new mother, that you took several pictures of her. I would suggest that you look through pictures of her, find the one that most touches your heart and have a portrait tattoo done in grey and black, with her name in Script underneath.
Im sorry for your loss. Cherish the moments that you spent with her.
