i personally do find femininity in men appealing. i think a man should be in touch with their feminine side. it makes a man more real and open. if they are feminine to the point of being gay they still make great friends. my best friend and roomate for 4 years is gay. we love each other very much and go our seperate ways sexually

I'm not sure "femininity" is appealing and exciting to women, but we do often feel like men don't understand us, and we enjoy finding a man who understands us and our needs.
This also depends on what you mean by femininity. If you're talking about a man who will, say, fix a candle-lit dinner or who is good with children, or who shows a genuine care for the complicated needs women feel, then yes, we enjoy that. For most women, there is nothing sweeter than a man who is nurturing.
However, even though women are less likely to assume feminity means homosexuality than men are, it can be off-putting if a man is raving over a fabulous pair of shoes. :-)
I think it may be that a lot of women like the contrast of femininity (or nurturing) to the masculinity. Therefore, if a guy shows more traits that are typically feminine than masculine, the contrast isn't there, and the guy can be lumped in along the same lines as "one of the girls", which is great for friends, but is unlikely to be dating material.
However, if you have a guy who is all male, no doubt about it, but who is comfortable with himself enough to step outside the macho mold, is caring and nurturing, and who has a sense of humor, yes, that kind of fella can be a real hot commodity. :-)

I think women are attracted to men who are comfortable with themselves. It's a type of confidence. Most women find quiet confidence very appealing.
My oldest son, aged 20, is an example. He's very handsome and masculine. He loves to play soccer and has a reputation as a very physical player. On the other hand, he will talk about cooking or moisturizer with anyone. He is completely comfortable, socially speaking, with men or women.
As a result, women find him very attractive. His girlfriend is not really the jealous type, but even she is tired of the parade. (He is absolutely faithful to her and shuts them down almost instantly.)
Once, when he was 16, I was picking him up from a party and arrived just in time to see him do karaoke to Shania Twain's "I Feel Like a Woman". It was a riot. He was surrounded by girls when it was over.
So, I really think it's the quiet self-confidence that really makes women take notice. Just my two cents.

No woman like George who wear tutu.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
What exactly do you mean? I guess my first question would be, are you gay? No offense if you arent, it just depends on what answer would be appropriate for your situation.
I'll assume you are. Or at the very least, bi.
Back to your question, I think they do find it exciting. Think about it, how many girls do you know that have gay friends? Just about all of them. What do you mean by holding back?
If by that you mean that her demeanor changes when you tell her, then forget her.
I once asked my friend who I had known since high school one time if he was gay. He replied, "are you my friend?" Of course i said yes. to which he replied, "then it shouldn't matter."
Once again, sorry if i offended you by my assumption, but the question was rather vague.

Do you know of a man who desires to be different in feminine way?
Like what way do you mean?
Like wearing girl clothes or fashion?
Or wearing make up?
What do you mean?
Be specific.
I like METROSEXUAL men, but only to look at. Because my type is really someone who isn't too into themselves, or to crown moldings or designer furniture or colorfully painted pictures on the walls. Well, fashion awareness to a certain degree is okay, not too extreme.

Who the heck have YOU been dealing with????
Feminity in a man is REPULSIVE. If I wanted someone feminine, I'd be a LESBIAN! That just seems and IS GAY. It's not cool at all.
I want a man who is assertive, confidant, MASCULINE, and also has a good head on his shoulders. If I wanted a man with chick qualities..........I'd get a chick.
Who ever told you that lie........is a confused.

It all depends on the woman. I definitely don't like men with feminine qualities. I am the woman, I want the man to be strong and manly.

Bad question, Women love men to be strong! Dominant in only their decisions, and what shapes their lives. As soon as men become so called "Dominant" women feel smothered out of control, sound familiar?

I have no problem with men who possess feminine characteristics. Some of my gay friends are somewhat feminine. However, I'm not sexually attracted to effeminate men.
Just because something is acceptable and inoffensive, it does not mean that it is sexually appealing or exciting.
