i think sometimes it takes a while for your body to get back on track period wise. Mine came back maybe a 2 or 3 months after i had my son. Just ask your doctor

My son is 8 months now and I still haven't had a period. But I nursed for about 4 months (or maybe 3, I can't remember clearly), and I had an IUD (Mirena) put in right after my 4 week check-up.
I called my OB/GYN and he said that my no periods was caused by the IUD, and that as soon as it was removed (which can be up to 5 years from then), they'll come back.
I took a couple pregancy tests anyway, just to reassure myself, and they came out negative, of course.
My sister-in-law didn't get her period for a long time, and before she could get a prescription to go back on birth control (Nuva ring), they prescriped her something that would make her period come. I can't remember exactly how many months old her little girl was, but I think 3 or 4.
Good luck!

With 5 out of 6 of my children, I got my period back a month or two after I stopped breastfeeding. The hormones in your body during breastfeeding often suppress you period, so unless you're worried for another reason, you probably don't need to do anything.
If you're not breastfeeding, you might want to check with your doctor or midwife, though they'll probably encourage you to wait awhile and not to worry.
Under the circumstances it's good that you're checking periodically for pregnancy since you'll ovulate before you get your first period.
Hope this helps

Never had a period between 3 and 4, but after 4, it was about 10 months -- when the nursing became secondary sustenance.

I bled for so long after I had my baby I didn't know if I was having a period or not. I think I actually had a normal period about 3 months after he was born.

With my first pregnancy it took 5 months and I was breast feeding, second pregnancy it was 3 month and also breast feeding. It can take a year or more for some women.

i know where you are coming from. i just had a baby and its been a few months and still nothing. with my other kids...three to be eact...it only took a month no more than two. perhaps you should go see the gynecologist and ask. the dr. could look a little more into things and find out.

It depends on your body and how fast your "normals" bounce back. Some times women dont have them for up to a yr. After my kids mine have never been the same. Time to time i have one for 2 days and have them close or not have one for a mo or 2 . If you feel its a prob just call your doctor and tell her your concerned

It depends on whether you're breastfeeding. If you are breastfeeding, wait up to 6 months after you stop breastfeeding before it'll return.
If you're not breastfeeding, it could be any time.
I breastfed for 6 months and got my period on the 7th month.
