of course, for all that i have is given to me. I am a soldier this is all i know, when a soldier marches off to battle he is supplied, he cares not how the supplies get there they just get there. the lord always provides, I give my ten % of all my income. I always have enough, i always have gas and i aways have food. I am a soldier and my duty is to fight, God takes care of all my needs so that i can focus on the task at hand. The money i receive, not mine, the jobs i have worked, not mine, the cloths on my back the air that i breath, not mine. So to give Ten percent is not a sacrifice, it does not belong to me any way. It is an honor to give into the kingdom of god, any body who has shown me generosity has been richly blessed, so to give is not for praise, i am giving to myself when i give to my god. He will open the flood gates of heaven with just that 10%, a blessing so great that i have not the room to hold it.

More or less, even though the "tithe" is an Old Testament concept that is not mentioned in the New Testament (Paul simply says to give cheerfully as much as God lays upon your heart). Some people, I've been told, give more.

Of course. It is a commandment. Somewhere it says the windows of heaven will open...that is absolutely true. I don't know how it works, but I know it does. I couldn't survive on what little I make with out it. Funny ain't it.
