Funny how my small mind can't grasp concepts, yet yours can't answer this question with a logical answer. I'm FAIRLY asking you're beliefs.

Sometimes this is hard to answer because you don't always know what the person who asks believes. Because there are many religions there are many explanations for life that don't all agree with one another. I will try to answer this logically and respectfully since I will assume that is what you are looking for.

Religion fills in a lot of empty spaces in our coping with life. It can provide comfort when life seems unfair, it can provide moral direction when we seem uncertain of the choices we need to make, and it brings people together with a common set of beliefs. I understand all this and I respect it, but I don't believe in any religion.

Over the centuries there have been explanations for things that have been reduced to simplistic religious explanations. As an example, Tourettes Syndrome used to be considered demonic possession. We know this isn't true now because science helped us to see what it really is. We don't always know the answer to questions like why is a person behaving strangely, but sometimes it is alright to not know the answer. The point is, you are asking for someone to explain life as though they have access to all the answers. I strongly believe no single person has these answers. As a religious person you might feel comfortable knowing that God has a plan for you and that you don't really need to know what that is. When a ten year old child is sold into slavery in the world sex trade and is murdered when they outgrow their usefulness, I look at that and see something that I explain as tragic perversion of human behavior. I don't look for a deeper meaning that would give that child's suffering a greater purpose.

Life, as I see it, exists through a wonderful set of natural circumstances. If I look to God as the creator, then I am stuck with wondering how God came into being. God must certainly be more complicated than we are yet that goes against the belief that all complicated things have to be created. The logic doesn't work. If God is all eternal then I have to come back to logic and ask why did God create all this and make so much suffering? I have just as much trouble with that logic as you probably do with thinking we are too complicated to not be "created".

I am sure I could go on, but I hope you are seeing that logic can play a role in not chosing to believe in God.

This question haves been ask way too many times. People should read the other questions like theirs when they go to ask a question.

God is a "Belief" not a fact therefor you don't have to believing in god to have a life. Atheist have done research and came to the conclusion that there is no god. We are not "lost", not "sitting on the fence", we don't worship the devil, we are not evil. We just don't believe god it real. You belief what you want to believe and let others do the same.
It is not that people can't answer your question its just they get tried of answering this question 30 times a day every single day because people don't want to read the answer that other people got when they asked the same question as you.
I don't believe there is a god for many reasons, There is more things stacking up which leans towards there is no god, no on can prove that god is real. I think 98% of whats in the bible is BS. The way women where treated in the bible is outrageous. I can think for my self. I don't need a bible to tell me how to live my life. Nor do I need a god to control my personal life. Things can be explained that proves things in the bible to be wrong. I don't have all the answers but I am not going to settle for "god created everything because he is god". That don't prove nothing to me.

Although I'm not an Atheist, I think I can help you here. I do know enough about that particular religion to know that A)they're not going to like being called a religion--SORRY!, and B)usually science helps explain life.

The second question, about not beleiving in a God, can be taken quite a few ways. To help clarify some, not all atheists are godless, some do acknowledge a higher power of some type, just not the orthodox christian God or any other widely excepted deity.

I have a feeling that your small mind probably could not wrap around the concept that god is not a man sitting in the clouds watching and judging people

If you could not understand it in school how can anyone make you understand on YA. Perhaps you should let it go. Your god has not given you the ability to understand it. Another thing that proves he's imperfect, he forgot to put a brain in you!
