My god girl enjoy your life, you have loads of time, I was in a full blown rel by the time i was 17. I am in my thirties now and i look back and i regret being in a rel then because when my friends was out enjoying themselves i just spent time with my boyfriend. I did not really enjoy my teens as i should have done.
You will meet someone when the time is right for you but please don't stress it, enjoy your life and be happy
You know the saying if you don't look for love, love will find you.
have fun!!!

I was 17 and was outgoing but never had a date until I was 24. I am now happily married and 17 was yonks ago. Looking back, I am glad I didn't have a boyfriend then or I would not have achieved what I have now. Since you are involved in the theatre, enjoy while you're there, be careful though how you flirt as not all boys think at the same level as girls do. Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. You have an average of 60 years to be an adult - enjoy your teenage years and go out with friends. Don't worry about romance as it will come to you. Promise!!!

Hey, don't worry about a thing!
I first went out with a guy when i was 19! Its odd that i'm really involved in the theatre too. The way i saw it was that if you're confident and sociable, many guys will be intimidated by you! Don't let this change who you are though, soon enough someone will come along who will be perfect for you and you'll be glad you waited. Trust me! :-)
Have a great day x

i had my 1st boyfriend in the age of 18 omg looking back on it it i find it amusing to see of what a girl or boy can do wrong in flirt or having a boy or grilfriend.... .. think of the positive aspect: no arguement, no hassle, no commitment and if just for yourself! No questions to ask like... how do i look today lol or do you think im to fat ? do i need a diet? or my hair needs doing ?
Without a boyfriend you are more free in to decide for yourself how you look what to wear and how to go along with it all.
I think the problem you have is that some of your m8s have a boy or girlfriend and the topics they have you want to be involved to have your say! Well, hun you can have your say even without having a boyfriend. You dont need a boy on your side to be someone in life just to show what you are worth being loved.. you are loved by your parents and m8s who appreciate you for what you are ....
keep your chin up the right one with cross your way in due course

Now now dear, when I was 17 I didn't have anyone and 5 years later,I still don't have a steady bf. The difference was that at 22, I needed someone more than I did at 17,but I was more successful at 22.My point is even as time passes and the desire and longing for someone special deepens, your self-esteem shouls also strengthen and it doesn't matter how long it takes for you to mature into a butterfly, you'll get there!but my prediction is you'll be in a relationship when you're 22, because you're self-sufficient,smart and normal.

Guys like to flirt, but even though it's a double standard, you have to watch how you flirt back. They might be thinking you are too easy or not someone to get serious with. Just take your time, you are so young, you will find the one who will make you forget all those other duds.

As you said your only 17 dont worry about it, I was 19 before I first went out with anyone. Just dont try to force it as guys your age are all very nervous when it comes to dating so can get scared off by people who appear too keen.

You have lot's of time..... Chill out on this.........Desperate girls say "yes" to idiot's!....... Work on your self-image/self security and understand you are unique and will find Mr Right in due course. Figure out what you are looking for in a partner..... The good things a boyfriend should be...Then don't say yes until you meet exactly him.
Trust me on this one: Boys your age (and older) are testosterone filled and biologically want one thing....look for the one who wants to know YOU first.
Good Luck

For a start you are better off this way.
Dating and the ancilliary physical aspects , is by no means a pre-requisite in life.
Be patient and waite your turn.
