So I got off of the bus and started walking towards the school entrance. I saw a couple of my friends so I stopped by to say 'hi'. Then my best-friend Josh, comes up to me and pulls me away to talk to me about something that he says is important. He says that there's this girl that he likes, and he doesn't know how to tell her. He said that he knew her for the longest time.... Then the first bell rang and i didnt think anything of it. Around lunch time I sit next to him and some other friends, and then out of nowhere he turned my head towards his and kissed me! And then he said it's you. What do I do, I think that he's cute and all, but I've known him for like ever. And I don't want to ruin our friendship. What should I do?

The friendship is already over.

You need to decide if you want more, or nothing.

If you want him, go for him. The deepest loves ever spring from friendship, and if the friendship was true, it can be saved a while (months usually) after the love ends (IF it ends!). Also, SharkGumbo has a great point. The friendship will never be the *same* (that could mean a lot of things) now that he's kissed you, so you have to choose WHAT YOU WANT!

If you don't want him, then tell him you aren't attracted to him. There isn't much you can do about attraction; it's either there or it isn't.

Whatever you do, don't use your friendship as an excuse. He'll think you just don't want to tell him that you're not attracted to him, which is only insult added to injury.

Whats does ur heart say? If u like him( and by the way I knew he was talking about u when I started reading this ) =-)

Anyway, if ur like Josh then u should go for it, and what u want to do is talk with him about going into a personal relationship with him, talk about how it may change things. Tell Josh that u and he have to promise it each other to start off slow and try to be the kind of couple who if it doesn't workout the way u hope to still remain friends.

Hi, i made the stupidest move once and went out with my best friend, her name was Dee. We went out for a year and a half, had really good time, beacuse we was already friends it just makes it all so much funna. After that we had a massive argument and broke up. We never talk anymore and its really awkward to see her round town. We just both look in the opposite direction to each other and we havent talked now in over a year. But you no theres so many happy people who were friends first. And it is well known that friends first make the best relationships. Lol i havent really helped you there have i. LOL? Well goodluck!!!! : )

The truth is the only way to go here. It may hurt him but that is part of life. Do not give him any false hope. If there is a chance them tell him to back off till you have a chance to process this . Do not feel pressured to go out with him it will only ruin the friendship. a friend is extremely hard to find and those who do are very rich. Value that over feelings they will heal.

Wow lucky you...do you think you have any feelings for him at all because being in relationship with a best friend does have its ups...total trust as in you can tell each other anything for a start dont be hasty in making your decision. Im divorced and i want my partner that i am going to spend the rest of my life with to be my best friend who knows me well and will respect my choices as i will his...just another angle for you to think about i guess but the best of luck
