Do they think they are being unique? It seems like every girl has one. I think tattoos are skanky.

They're also known as "hag tags" and "tramp stamps."
Yes they're trendy. No they're not original.
For the life of me, I would never want one. It's like wearing a bumper sticker you once thought was clever for the rest of your life.
But I have to admit, on some girls, they are freaking hot. Especially if there is only one tatoo and it's in the small of the back.
And when they're hot, I don't care about if they're trendy.
I can't be too judgemental. I'm not trendy. My taste hasn't changed much over the years. But I use to think parachute pants were cool. (Till I wore a pair.)
As for being original... where did you buy your shoes? Were you original and make them yourself? What about your shirt? Did you come up with your own unique hairstyle?
So while some girls look hot, most girls do look pretty stupid with them.
But there is this one girl at the gym..... oooooh.

I have 2 tattoos in plain sight, so I obviously don't think they are all skanky, but I wouldn't get one on my lower back, those are tramp stamps, only a "follower" would get one there.

Tattoos are expressions of their owners.
If the girl is skanky, her tattoo will be too.
Dont judge the art by some of the girls that carry them
Alot of girls get it on their lower back because it isnt a place that'll stretch out easily, its less painful, and its a broader canvas for more tattoo.

I have 2 tattoos. One is on my lower back and I love it. I wanted it there because I wanted to be able to hide it if I needed to. I don't wear belly shirts or anything to show it off. I love tattoos.

Tattoos are personal. For me I have a tattoo on my lower back. I'm not a tramp or a skank. I personally have a dozen roses tattooed on my body...and each rose has a personal meaning to me. Just because you have tattoos that doesn't make you a skank, a tramp, or a hoe.

Well then don't get one and don't date a girl that has one. Why do you care? I don't have them on my back but I do have two, one on each breast.
Each woman does it for her own reason. Some think it's sexy, some have a personal meaning, some do it to impress others, etc. It's no different than most women having their ears pierced, getting their nails done, etc.
None of us believe that it's a unique thing to do, but we get them because we like them.

Well, I'm pretty sure they don't give a sh*t that you think it's "skanky." If you don't like them, don't get one. Don't use your time asking about something stupid like this where you only throw in your unjustified opinion.
