There have been MANY prophecies concerning major wars. The Bible, even Nostradamus, prophecied it. A lot of the problem with trying to figure out who will be in these last wars is in the interpretation of the information given to people as a whole. Unfortunately, each person will interpretate different than the person sitting next to them.
My own opinion, I think that all the major nations will eventually be involved in one form or fashion by the time it's all said and done. It's just a matter of discovering which ones will start this impending war.

Why are you bringing bible quotes into this? It has no bearing on the situation whatever. As for the details of the question, I do not foresee a world war. But individual wars, along the lines of the Iraqi affair, are quite likely.
