Im a lefty I cna do anything with my right arm that I can do with my left. the 1 thing I cant do is throw a ball with my right or switch hit whih really sux. it has 2 do with the brain. the 2 halves of the brain dont communicate well. the left side is usually more active so most people r righty (yes the left side of the brain controls the right side of u). I can also shoot a basketball with my right hand.

not something God has told me yet. I noticed people who are ambi-dextrous usually are not very popular perhaps most can not take that pressure. If both sides of your brain are equal rather than one side being dominant then it afects the whole personality. I think there was something on Discovery channel that was discussing the that it might be caused by something while in the womb.

Good question my exact answer is I do not know.

I am left handed and I write with my left hand....can write with my right but slow and uncomfortable...feels foriegn to me..... I also do some things with my left hand. like brush my teeth etc......but I find I do things such as throw an object or brush my hair etc with my right hand......so I guess it would be fair to say I need my right hand for some things and my left for others...they work together to get everything done....lol

Right Handed, and sometimes both because I practice writing with my opposite hand.

Most likely, it stems from the segregation of the brain into two halves. There simply isn't enough connectivity between the two halves for most people to learn to swing both ways (a bat that is).

It's genetic.
Also, at one time it was considered satanic to be left-handed. Therefore, most people who were left-handed had to learn to be right-handed.
It's a case of micro-evolution.
I'm primarily left-handed, but partially ambidextrous.
