there has be something wrong with me, obviously.
i don't want to go out specifically looking for a girl, but it seems like there aren't many options available to meet girls randomly, aside from going to noisy places with some friends of mine.
i hate noisy places. i'm a bit shy.
i'm doomed.

I don't think you're doomed. There are several places you can be women, but sometimes you just have to be a little brave. If you're in school, you can try meeting a girl in one of your classes or join a club and meet some. If not, then try joining a church and joining a group within. You could try the internet, but everyone has their own views on that. Try going to a coffee shop, like Starbucks the same time every day, you'll start running into the same people and maybe one day you'll find that special girl. If you're out and see a girl you think is cute and you each catch each other's eye, just go for it. Ask her out for a cup of coffee or something. You might be surprised by what her answer is. And if she does happen to say no, then she wasn't worth your time anyway, so just go ahead and move onto the next girl.

No you are not doomed! Relax, don't feel the pressure to find a woman. It happens when it is meant to. 23 is not old for heavens sake. You don't have to have something wrong with you, lots of people have a hard time finding someone, they don't grow on trees. Try some respectable dating sites. I met my husband on one, he is the best thing I could of ever hoped for. I am shy also and hate bars and noisy smokey places. Give it time and don't worry so much. It sounds cliche, but it WILL happen when you Least expect it. I wish you all the best.

No, not doomed. The right one hasn't crossed your path yet. I was 28 before I had a serious boyfriend, and having no options to meet decent men, I concentrated on my career and making a good life for myself. Then when we stumbled upon each other, I was ready. If you go out looking, you may fall prey to the wrong girl. It's hard to wait, but fate or whatever you want to call it, happens in it's own time.

Hey man...theres nothing wrong with you....and scoring a good girlfreind in a noisy place...is just pure fantasy, from exp. all i got from clubs was 1 nighters, because there all that counts is image....the good grils i have meet in my life where in school, college, and activities.
My adivce, do a makeover...strive to change the things you dont like in your self.
And Read Double your dating from david d'angelo...he will get you in the right mindset, and teach you how to pick up girls outta thin air.

A BIT shy?! Man, the only thing wrong with you is your attitude (poor, poor pitiful me, I'm doomed). How the hell do you expect to make time with that kind of thinking? You can meet women anywhere; grocery stores, busses, laundrys, elevators. Pull your head out of your *** and be somebody. You won't get anywhere if you don't try. Are you afraid of failure, or success? Maybe you like being miserable.

Well you might try online dating services, I know some co-workers who have tried E-Harmony and they are happy with it.
There's also the ones that pair you up with 5 other people for lunch or dinner. Have your friends who are in relationships to fix you up.
Check with a doctor, may have low sex drive, maybe you are asexual and not interested in either men or women.
Just as an aside you might have a more positive additude, no on wants to with someone who has such negative outlook.

nah theres nothing wrong with you dude. im 23 and ive only ever had one serious relationship that started a couple years back and im still with her. you will find theres heaps of people out there like you. what you gotta do is get outside of your comfort zone a little if you wnat to meet someone. use your friends to meet new and more people. but if the thought of that is too much. dont stress. live you life how you wnat and something will eventually happen.

church is a good place to meet (nice) girls, my husband used to tell our son to hang out at the Laundry Mat...lol invite a girl to a good movie or to eat, skate, walk, trip to the zoo, picnic, or to a museum, swimming, skiing something you enjoy or go and maybe you will meet someone, lots of people get married later in life you are NOT doomed! Don't be shy it is a waste of your precious time, this is not dress rehersal!

You're not doomed. I know it sounds corny, but join a club or volunteer some place. It's the best way to meet people.

no your not doomed. You are still young dont worry i dont like loud places too maybe you can just meet ppl like somewhere quite or have your friends set you up on a blind date or something and you and whoever they set you up with can have a dinner and a movie. Or try Cupid.com to find a girlfriend.
