Pregnant or worms. Kitty belongs in the house - bc there are tons of cat diseases out there. Hope she had all her shots. Get her tested for parasites asap. Kitty Walk and other products may allow them outdoors yet confined. Ours goes out on the harness and leash - only supervised!

Never chain your cat up. The chain or rope can easily get tangled or caught in something and your cat can get stranggled. Or some psycho can steal your cat and chain him onto the back of a car or truck and drag the cat that way. PLEASE do not chain your cat. What you need to do is have the cat spayed (de-sexed) and then the cat will not tend to wander and roam. For your cat's absolute safety, keep her indoors especially at night. If she insists on going out, build a large cat enclosure (like a giant chicken coup) and keep her there when she wants to enjoy the outdoors.

My cat is also a night prowler. He use to bring home lovely mice trophies for me. I would find them nicely place on the front porch when I would let him in for his breakfast which he would not eat. Try what i did and maybe it will work as well. I feed my cat before i let him out for the night that way he had a full tummy.
He still seems to enjoy his evenings out but in the morning, no mice trophies on the porch and he is ready to eat breakfast. i am also no long worried about him getting a mouse that my have eaten poison out of some mouse trap. A full tummy makes for a happy night of tom cat roaming. Good luck.

As a shelter owner, I can't see any humor in your irresponsible attitude. She could be poisoned, shot or injured by dogs or nasty bored teens. If the cat isn't spayed, you have no business letting her out at night. I have friends with 60 and 70 throw-away animals at their shelters because of people who just don't care about their pets. I have other friends overwhelmed by feral cats they were trying to feed. Please show some responsibility. Chaining up a cat is assinine. I assume you were trying to be funny. But if it's at all possible, please get her spayed if you insist on letting her roam.

well you're not going to stop your cat from getting pregnant unless you get her spayed and you're not going to stop her from catching diseases from other cats unless you keep her inside ("chaining her up" outside won't solve a thing--I never heard of someone chaining up a cat, anyway). i guess it's up to you if you care if your cat comes home with a big belly or not. seems like an easy answer.

No my friend, you are the one who should be chained up. This question is such a waste of space.

Keep her inside or you'll be paying vet bills for rabies and internal parasites.
