for european it is rather difficult.
for chinese or japanese or korean or so, it is easier than english.

Yes, but it is more logical than English. It is much more concise, which makes the structure fairly easy to learn.

Reading and writing would be the most challenging to learn. But if your interested and determined then you should try learning it.

It's not pretty hard to learn how to speak, but how to write and read are the problems.

yes!! extremely tough.. you have got to start with listening and sepaking first.. to get started.. try to watch hong kong television dramas..next listen to cantonese songs.. the writing part comes in to be tougher!
