I would consider getting help through public assistance, only enough to get a diagnosis. then I would research the diagnosis through the public libraries. If it does turn out that you are indeed in need of treatment, then please to go and seek out a teaching hospital. Important thing is to learn all you can about your condition, what they say about knowledge being power is absolutely true. I was suffering from a debilitating mental health issue, but given my age at the time, all I had to rely on was the opinion of my parents as to whether I rated medical help. I picked up a book on depression (it was a very in depth and informative tome) and I nearly conquered the ailment. I finally knew that my symtomology was in fact valid. However, I was so into the deeper ends of this depression that it took an attempt at suicide to get the treatment and meds I needed to assume a healthy life.

Check for sliding scale clinics. Or go to the ER and tell them what's what. Apply for assistance, cause you need help.
Check some books out of the library: Feeling Good and Moodswings come to mind.

Get health insurance. If you can't, see if you qualify for social service healthcare.
There are clinics all over the U.S. that accept people with little or no insurance.
Or get a job that has the medical, dental, etc.
