So basically you don't have anything to talk about, the sex is bad, and you aren't really into him, right? So what was the question? Tell him to la da da de da and take a hike. If he is rude enough to ignore you on the phone and make la de da comments then you don't need him as a friend either. Be blunt, yet tactful, and say this is not going to work and I don't we shouldn't see each other anymore.

You know that you should break it off, why don't you just listen to your gut. Just tell him that you are not ready for a relationship right now and you would just like to be friends (this is if you don't want to hurt his feelings). If you dont give a rats as*s about his feelings you should just tell him what you said in your question that he irritates the hell out of you and the sex sucked.

Just say "Hey, you know I don't really feel we're meshing well and I think it's best if we just stay friends and not take this any further." If he asks why then explain to him abou the communication issues, leave out the sex thing or there'll be no friendship cause some guys are so touchy about that sort of thing. Be sweet, keep it simple. Lots of luck!

It sounds like you two have absolutely no chemistry and if you feel this way of course you should break it off with him. Just be honest and speak from the heart he may get hurt but it the end it will have saved both of you a lot of trouble!

You need to ask? You say the sex was bad, he doesn't listen to you, he irritates you.........why are you waiting. Yes, break it off but be nice. Talk to him and just tell him, it just isn't working for you and you want to see other people, but you'd like to remain friends (if you truly want to that is). Just give him respect, don't hurt his feelings unnecessarily. No one likes to be rejected.

There is no doubt that it is a very unhealthy relationship. Two people stay together because they love each other and because they want to (unless they have no choice). If not, what is the point?!? I guess you should just be honest with him, tell him that you don't feel it with him and you want to move on. And you don't want to waste your time with him. Because he doesn't care about you enough. good luck!!!

He is just waiting for you to break it off because he is too much of a coward. Don't stay together becuase then you will be stuck becuase you own stuff together and have time invested. Thats where I am. Good luck

I think you should break it off because you shouldnt make him think that you like him more than a friend if you dont i think you should let him down easy and tell him the total truth.
