The dentist! I've had MUCH more pain from dentists than from doctors.

I dislike my specific dentist more than my doctor, and here's why: In 2001, when I was still a minor, the dentist recommended to my parents that I get sealants in my back molars, which for some reason didn't happen right away. Four whole years went by, and they never mentioned it again until I went in for a regular dentist appointment last year, and they told me I would have to get fillings in my bottom two molars, which would have been avoided if I'd gotten the sealants anytime before that. Why didn't they say anything if they knew that eventually I would have to get fillings if nothing was done? Did they think we were trying to save money by not getting sealants? Fillings are more expensive than sealants, so that makes no sense. I went in for check-ups every six months for four years, and each time, they poked at my molars with that metal prod of theirs, and never said anything about how my molars were getting worse. And when I went in to get fillings, they didn't inform me of all my options, and they were just going to give me the metallic ones without asking if I'd rather have white ones, which are slightly more expensive and easier to break, but which you don't notice since they're the same color as your teeth. I didn't know the white ones were an option until the nurse mentioned it right before the procedure. I feel like they screwed me over by not telling me everything. We've stopped going to that dentist, by the way. Good riddance.

I dislike doctors, it seems to always have a weird smell, while the Dentist place does have a weird smell to, it is much better than the doctors.

Plus I am scared of needles, it doesn't seem to hurt as much when your at the Dentist.

I used to fear the dentist until I became 40...that's when DOCTORS start performing all the probing and examinations in the "lower region" which become routine. I have recently decided I dislike doctors more now.

I hate the dentist more because if you have to have a tooth pulled it feels like he's going to rip your skull right out of your scalp. But I can go to the doctor and in most cases he gives me a dose of antibiotics and I feel better pretty soon. Besides, it costs more to go to the dentist.

I dislike docs more because they talk with me about 2 minutes (after I've waited well over 45 minutes) then perscribe a bunch of meds that don't work well or need another visit for adjustments.

Dentists accomplish what you set out to have done. GO DENTISTS!!!

I dislike doctors more..........dentists can show you that you have a cavity and fix it.........doctors play guessing games and send you home with less info than you started with!
