your computer might have a virus, or your computer is really slow and it crashed. i recommend to go to download.com and get some anti virus and anti ad ware programs. Also find some computer speed improvement programs like disc keeper, or registry cleaners

Leave your computer alone for an hour or two. It is probably just doing addressing. When is the last time you delete all entries in your Recent Folder, Windows TEMP folder, Temporary Internet Folder and defraged you c Drive?

I have seen this happen when the machine is busy doing something, but eventually the CPU is freed up and the mouse will move.

If this is not happening, then look in task manager to see whick process / application is causing the PC to lockup. If it is the same app all the time, re-install it.

maybe you just need new batteries for your mouse....assuming it's wireless.
