Your husband sounds like the most pothetic human being I've heard of, why did you marry that guy? Maybe you would have been better off with the druggie...Jealous of a dead guy...WTF???
He was your friend, if you need to go to the funeral for your own reasons then go...your husband will survive, get home and give him some make up xes...while thinking about your dead ex of course...

I would really need to know a little more about your husbands objections of your going. After all the man is dead he should not be a threat to your relationship. I would think it would be OK. It seems to me that you may need this for closure. Funerals are for the living you know. If not I do not understand why you want to go.

Ask yourself this. Why do you really want to do this?
An ex boyfriend from around 8 years ago?
You must do what you must do but I agree with your husband.
Sure there is a little bit of jealousy going on but why would there not be.
You should have been long over this guy and most certainly after you married.
If this had been and ex-husband that you loved one time it may be understandable but not a boy-friend.
Good luck to you

You wanting to go seems like you have kept feelings from him but on the other hand your ex has passed and you spent 2 yrs of your life with him. Either way you both need to sit down and discuss this. There are some underlying feelings that are not being expressed. Your ex has passed and he should be able to see passed that.

I think you should go. For crying out loud, the man is dead. Your husband is being pathetic.
You will never see this person again. It will just give you some peace and maybe the opportunity to support his family who I am sure are greiving beyond belief.
Go on and no I would not be mad.

No, not mad at all. Go to the funeral. Grieve him and move on. I am sure that your husband would understand.
I can only see things getting worse for your husband if he doesn't allow you the time to grieve.

i believe that the right thing to do would be to pay your respect to his family to show that you have compassion for what they must be going through but your husband has NO RIGHT TO BE MAD i say that because the poor man is dead its not like hes gona come back to get you your husband needs to stop the bullshit right now for real you married him setteled down and made a life with him so he should relax the poor guy is no longer a threat to you or him good luck ......M

Go to the funeral. No, I wouldn't be mad if my mate went to the funeral of a friend. It might be good for your husband to go with you.

sounds like your husband has some growing up to do. Go anyway. If it causes hassles, that will open your eyes to your husband! This is controlling behavior and a possible hint of abuse to come.
