There are many types of financial aid available to you. This determination is given depending upon your financial need for the money, NOT your credit. Your credit has nothing to do with taking out loans from college based levels. Government grants are available, Federal loans such as subsidized and unsubsidized loans, with low interest. Choose your college and then set up an appointment to talk to financial aid counselor, and fill out a FAFSA (this can be done on-line or in paper format- available to you through financial aid department).
Getting a good GPA will put you in the run for lots of FREE Money.... Scholarships are awesome and as long as you carry good grades and have financial need you will get chosen for many scholarships.
GOOD LUCK!

You can get a pell grant that is based on your income not you credit. And depending on what state you are in and your income sometimes they offer additional grants. And you can apply for loans but that will go on you credit I believe. I would talk to a financial aid officer at the school you wish to attend to find out what they offer there.

You can get all kind of financial help depending on your monthly gross income. All you have to do is apply for what ever initial asst that you want. Unless you are makeing minimum pay then it is not as hard for a single person to get help. People with children are more likely to get help.
