Maybe you are having some hormone issues that are causing your body to realease the same kinds of hormones that you would if you were pregnant.(the hormones that cause the linea(s) alba and nigra) Once in a while there are medical reasons for things that normally happen during pregnancy to happen at other times. Talk to your doctor.

Every woman has a line that runs from your belly button to your pubic area; it is called the linea blanca. When you get pregnant, just as the areola darkens, this area will darken as well; the line is then called the linea nigra. This goes away when your hormone levels return to normal after delivery.
I would confirm it with your doctor since you were once pregnant and just be patient for it to go away if that is what you have.
Good luck to you...

If you are not pregnant than you probably have horomone inbalance. You need to have your Dr. do a pregnancy test and check you Hcg levels. If you are still found to not be pregnant or having an early miscarriage you need them to do a complete blood work up on you checking horomone level and the whole reproductive system. Good luck get it checked.

I did not get it when I was pregnant but I have seen it happen to other women I'm sure it has to do with hormones, however, I think it's really an arrow telling you which end the baby is coming from.

Sounds somewhat reminiscent of the vein pregnant women get. Check with your doctor, and make real sure you're not pregnant afterall.
