There would be no nutrient recycling and all the organic material would never be broken down for reuse. Essentially dead plants and animals would continually pile up on (say the forest floor) and never be put to use. Any other new animals would have a difficult time surviving because all the animals and plants before them used up the nutrients (which can not be used because they must be broken down first to become part of the rich soil). Every animal and plant would die out because they simply ran out of nutrients.

That is an impossible scenario.. the act of injesting is the primary form of decomposing organic matter.. therefore , you would be the first item removed!!
