at least im glad that her mother and i are there. were are more help to her that god is.
theres no god in the equation:
her mom+her faith+me=survival
her faith doesnt include god since it is non-existent.

AJ: i dont think she's backsliding anytime soon. im not forcing my atheism on her like she's pushing her god on me...
you're saying that i could be the cause of her trouble? i wonder what will happen to her if i left her to her god's hands.

Wow dude with a question like that your bound to p**s a few people off. Good on you for helping her threw it all. And maybe (if I was a believer) I would say God was helping by putting you and her Mom there to help her. But I'm not so, I'm on your side. Just keep up the good work and maybe one day she will realise that he doesnt exist and come to her sense's and get on with helping herself.

have you ever written your prayers down and date them? I examine a e book that stated to try this. Repeating them daily. and extremely some get responded that way, others do not; yet you're able to then observe that some are. yet another element you should think of roughly is "Is it possible that your prayers are being responded, in simple terms not interior a similar way you imagined?". For I extremely have unquestionably seen that. we ought to realize that God is lots diverse than us. And His thought of the desirable answer and our thought of the desirable answer may be a ways from a similar. a guy I as quickly as knew had an added means he did not like. So he asked God to eliminate it, without being precise a minimum of, the extra suitable means is long gone; yet he now has many handicaps. So once you pray you're able to do superb to put in information or issues might purely worsen; while you're praying for something to get extra perfect.

It sounds like your friend is experiencing life, choices and changes. It is interesting with all her troubles, which by the way are few in comparison to many, you sit there and state where is her God. You never say God or your God. If you really understood Christianity I assume then you know things are done in His time not ours. How ingenious would the creator of mankind appear if He answered prayers by our ideas and wants. Who are we to command the one that created us, but you don't believe that do you? I wonder why the ones that are atheist or whatever always find the time to condescend those that have faith in something other than themselves? Maybe you are there to support her needs or you are the cause of her backsliding. Look at your own life more and don't claim to understand all in the world.

Not to be harsh, but I think the question is why doesn't she help herself. The Christian God gave his believers the gift of free will. And a faithful Christian knows about this. But what many Christians forget is that such a gift carries an awesome responsibility...you are the responsible party, not your God. God doesn't interfere with people's ability to make their own decisions. God also doesn't interfere with their ability to reap the rewards or consequences of those decisions. The moment God interferes is the moment free will ends along with any need for faith and belief. I'm afraid she doesn't have bad luck, but bad choices. Though children are a blessing, they shouldn't be produced without careful consideration. Certainly mistakes are made, but they must be learned from. That is one of the gifts and burdens of free will. To have one child at a young age is a naive mistake. To have three knowing that the home situation is precarious or that finances are dwindling is not. It's ignoring responsibility. I'm sorry for your friend. It sounds like she needs friends who will help her get back on her feet by giving her a rest from her responsibilities and encouraging her to develop her potential. That way she is making and dictating her own luck. And her God will be extremely proud of her and so will she. I will send her blessings for help, support, and energy. Good luck to her.

In my opinion most people tend to use faith as a crutch. They lie in wait for "someone" to take care of them when they should take charge of their own life. To use the situation above, bad things happen to everyone. I know most people need time to grieve over losses but you have to try and not dwell on the past. Things will only get worse if you don't do anything about them. Your actions during bad times says something about your character. If she really can't cope with life's problems then there are free clinics where she could go to get help. The only being you should have faith in is yourself because at the end of the day, the only one you answer to is yourself.

And there are SO many Christians out there that would continue to blame her for her problems and tell her that her faith isn't strong enough. SICK!
I used to be a missionary in India, and some of the most faithful Christians (not like the shallow idiot ones here in the USA) I knew were dirt poor, some even homeless. However, it was the fact that they did not put their life in THIS world that allowed them to be so close to God.
Your friend may not be getting rewarded in this life, as many never do, but she will be in the next one.

Yes, her God is real! He is alive and with her. You can tell just by what you said about her. With all of her troubles and she is still a faithful christian!! Amen ! No one, not even God himself, said that when we become Christians our lives would become carefree and/or trouble free. She is being refined just like the finest gold to help bring out the best in her for His sake. Her troubles may not end in the near future but she is not alone. God is with her. Please tell her that someone out there is praying for her and to keep faith.

so turning her back on God will make her problems go away? The promises of God is not that we will never have problems...
We will have trials and troubles with or without God. The promise is that we will overcome them they will not overcome us. We will learn to walk through fire and not be burned. Life is hard but to do it without God to ease our hearts and pain it would be so much harder

you cant blame God for that mess sound like she's been going to church but letting the devil live with her. Just because you say you are a christian doesn't mean you live that way. She needs to examine her walk ,she's going down the wrong path. She needs to kick the devil out of her home

Try to show her enough respect to not decide the criteria of her faith. It's apparent you don't feel she can make her own decisions. Maybe that why she doesn't want to follow your beliefs.
