"any" liquor?
The question doesn't make any sense. Acute alcoholism, after all, will cause you to lose weight since the person stops eating properly.
In moderation, you can consume alcohol while losing weight. Obviously some drinks have more calories (carbs) than others.
It would really help if you clarify your question.

Liqour is higher in calories than you think and it can pile on the weight. Usually your body has to burn the liqour before it gets to the fat. So yes it can keep you from losing weight.
