Life... "is a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury: I agree. I'm not sure about "Signifying nothing".. That would take a lot of deep thought. My initial feeling is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of purpose in life. Even with as much scientific advancement as humans have made, we still haven't figured out how to live in harmony with our planet. Present society seems like it's building a tower of Babel which is endlessly tall. The motivation initially seems credible, but in the end, the focus is lost with no real goal or end in sight. We place more importance on human life and human comforts than on the bigger picture of what is best for our planet. We are short-sided, selfish beings. It's easy to say it and believe it. It's harder to do anything about it. I'm not there yet.

No. The bible is actually a text book, an accounting of history, not unlike the writings of many historians.

While the scriptures in the bible may have been divinely inspired, it can't be ignored that the accounts in the bible are very largely supported by archaelogical findings, and therefore can not be disputed by the ignorant idiots "...full of sound and fury, signifying nothing..."

Actually it's a tale told by many idiots if you want to be technical. And it only signifies mans ability to be easily misled an used as long as the direction he is being led in some way coincides with his own prejudices and hatreds.

You can only decide what a book, a person, a miracle or a belief means to you.

Try reading the bible from front cover to back cover. Then use sound judgment of your own free will to decide if you believe or not. If you still don't know. Study, research, compare the bible to other books and conduct a full scale research project to help you make a sound judgment of your own making.

Good luck and i hope your journey helps you find the peace you are seeking.

Perception is everything. To some people, the Bible is the key to living forever.
To other people it is just a really good story preserved well in the confines of a cave. It has baffled us and inspired us but at the end of the day, to me, it's just a compilation of historical tales filled with some good lessons, some confused lessons and a lot of symbolism we have no idea how it was meant to be taken.
Good Luck.

The bible was written by holy men, God needed an instrument to write the bible, like a pen needs our hands to produce words on paper, everything in the bible was written in history, and has been confirmed, if you dont want to believe the bible read your history books...the bible is 100% real

No, the bible was not written by idiots. The bible is God's "letter" to all mankind. Further, the bible is a "User's Guide" for us humans who are God's creations.

We use the Toyota "User Guide" for Toyota cars. Man should use the "User Guide" for mankind.
