What do you mean "if"? Look at the mess he made down here!

Jesus was God come to earth as one of us. He wasn't a "slob," however, since he lived a perfect life. If he were a slob like one of us, he couldn't have died in our place for our sins.

It's a catchy song that so many thought was so "deep," but it really just revealed the song writer's lack of understanding of God as revealed in Scripture.

I don't know that I'd like it if God was a slob; I would hope that he would aspire to "cleanliness is next to Godliness"...lol

He was one of us.

but not a slob like one of us.

too bad millions will be in hell because they don't want to believe that.

he came as one of us, so that nobody can stand at judgement day and say God, you don't know what is was like to be human, you don't know what it was like to go through what I went through.

they will say that when they are trying to get out of going to hell, but God will say, I was one of you, I know what it was like, and you have no excuse, you were told that Jesus was the only way to go to heaven and you rejected it.

Then he opens up the furnace door and says goodbye to those people.

I think you have too much time on your hands. You obviously are not educated in the Bible because He was one of us. Speak for youself when you incinuate "slob"

nice quote from Joan Osborne's song! but she was wrong, God was one of us, then he died on the cross for our sins so that when we die we may go to Heaven
