one cant walk well and one has arthritis very bad but they have good spirits. i dont want to get them the same gifts this year
jack daniels pajama pants and a pretty sweater. thanks for suggestions

get them some sort of blanket or something very useful that they would really enjoy.showin that u care

My grandmother also has severe arthritis but still wants people to do things with her. Both of my grandparents are in their 60s and love to do things with me. I would reccomend that you by some card games and play with them. Rook, Skip-Bo and Phase 10 are all good ones. I go to their house and do this with them all the time!!

do they have a dvd player??? if not get them one[ you can find reasonable prices at target/k mart] and a membership with netflix for less than $10.00 a month this service mails movies [wide variety] with free delivery by mail, and give you a free envelope to mail back to them and they will send more by mail.......this is a gift that keeps on giving and has good value and they have many old good movies[ they will like] and also new releases. they can pick from...

i don't know there financial situation. but here are a few suggestion.
gift certificate to there favorite grocery store
stamps, envelopes, stationary
do they have any hobby's, buy them something related to the hobby
how about a puzzle
offer, if you don't already to drive them where they need to go(doctor, etc)
my father is a diabetic, one year i bought him every kind of sugar free jams or jelly's sumcker made, and i bought him low sugar juices he loved it
what about paying a utility bill for one month
do they need any grab bars added anywhere in the house
the possibility's are endless

All they need is some loving attention. They have all they want. In their life time they accumulated much more than you can imaging. Materialistic item have very little value to them
Call them often and share your caring and love. So when they pass on you will feel you gave them your most precious belonging. Your personal ATTENTION .

I got a cleaning service to come in and give the house a good cleaning. or spend the day with them. Sometimes all they want is a little company
