Is it appropriate for a middle school bus driver to be blasting (arguably) explicit rap music?

Yeah - I have some autism & stuff, and I personally hate rap. I have my reasons for hating it, but I'm no where need the extreme of banning it. However, I find it common courtesy to not blast explicit music on school-related property.

Agree or disagree? Oh and if you respond with a "omg what the hell man you are **** rap is awsome" response I report it as abuse. Sorry, I don't deal with sh*t. I want descriptive answers, please and thanks a lot! :-D

++ When I said I have some 'autism' stuff, I mean I have a disorder where I tend to find things corrupt, such as music that influences people to be rude to others. I can't help it, I'm just a "little cop" LoL

(Also, with my experience, rap = people need it and only it. If you play something else they say turn that crap off.)

You school bus driver should not be listening to ANY type of music while he is driving you around. That is a safety issue. Tell your principal or call the I.S.D. Also - he should not be listening to any type of music that is explicit. That is just wrong - when you have the responsibility of other people's children.

Again - have your parents call the school board or the principle and report this guy.

P.S. - My son has the same sensitivity. He can't even stand it when people slide a plastic straw up and down in a drink container and it makes that noise when it scrapes on the lid.

I don't think it's appropriate for a bus driver to be "blasting" any type of music. It is only common courtesy to not blast music your passangers don't enjoy.
And since I doubt any large group of kids is going to be able to agree on a radio station, it should just be left off.
Plus, the driver should be paying attention to the road, how will he/she ever hear a siren or train over the music PLUS the kids?

Completly inappropriate. If i were you i would report this driver ASAP. We are talking about other people's kids here. The driver should be paying attention to the road and orders that they recieve on their walkie talkie from time to time.

I agree with you about rap. I do not like it at all. There is no talent needed. Well other than to be able to tlak fast and keep up with the beat but what kind of talent is that?

For your info I listen lots of genres of music including rap. I dont think its a problem that they are blasting rap on the bus. I think the problem is that they are blasting music period on the bus. I think that no matter what the driver plays it should be at a respectable level.

The bus driver should NOT be listening to music while transporting children.... it doesn't matter what kind it is! Especially if it is questionable or suggestive in any way....

Not to forget that the Driver needs to pay attention to the safety of the children and not to the radio.......

Leave the music listening time to when driving an EMPTY bus.......

Actually I do listen to that frome time to time but listen to other things as well. However I am in full agreement about the school bus. It should be up to the parent whether or not they want their child exposed to that and at what age.

I agree. Rap is just to loud and he should be listening to what the children are up to.

It would be inappropriate if the lyrics were obscene and it was too loud. Speak to the Principal and have him discuss it with the transportation company.
