Sometimes it is not the food but the way the dog is eating...If the dog eats very quickly it will gulp air...to avoid this you can put a soup can or ball into their dish so they have to slow down and eat around this...make sure it is an object large enough that the dog can't swallow it......You can also try raising the dish to a higher level..by elevating the dish it also reduces air intake...if the dog is not bending to eat it will get less air....you can purchase those trays for your food bowls at any pet store or major retailer...if you don't want to purchase one try to put in on a bucket or a popcorn tin...if it is a little dog even a shoe box turned upside down will work...use something you have around the house and if it helps get one from a store....
I hope this helps...it helped me with my shepherd and my lab.......

Try switching foods, stick with a premium food, not a food you buy at the grocery store or Wal-Mart. So many different ingredients can cause the gas, you'll just have to try some different brands/formulas and see what works. Also, Beano is safe for dogs if switching the food doesn't work.

Hmm....Check the dog bag to see if it contains alot of vegetables. Vegetables that is put in dog food usually is good for the dogs but sometimes if there's too much, it can produce gas in the dog. Maybe you should try different kind of Iams or brand.

No corn (doesn't digest completely) No soy (beans!) No beet pulp (pushes food through without complete digestion)
It is important to feed a kibble that is digestible, such as Canidae, Innova, Wysong, Natural Balance, Wellness, or Solid gold...these foods have no fillers and digest very well...Most are availalbe at your local pet supply..

Some breeds are predispositioned to be gassey... my friend has a bulldog and suffers from this daily. She has found from the vet that changing the food will minimally help the problem.
