yes, if the person is not in there right mind, and whether SOME people believe IT or not if you are depressed and your medication or if you are on medication and it's not working you are not in your right mind, and that being said. it does speak of suicide in the Bible, and if this person was a saved person they are in Heaven now
Augustine argued in the fifth century that suicide was a violation of the sixth commandment, "You shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13). Later, Thomas Aquinas, being catholic and believing that confession of sin must be made prior to departure from the world to the next, taught that suicide was the most fatal of all sins because the victim could not repent of it. The problem with his view is that it represents a gross misunderstanding of eternal security, which Scripture clearly teaches. We are saved by the grace of God, not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9) and nothing can separate a Christian from the love of God (Romans 8:37-39).
Other verses that clearly teach assurance of salvation for the believer are:
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
-John 5:24
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand."
-John 10:27-29
"And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."
-1 John 5:11-13
However, suicide is not what God wants for anyone. We have a God who loves us and cares for us and promises to meet all of our needs if we place our trust in Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We need to consider the reasons why suicide is wrong and why it is not the way to avoid painful circumstances. As an act of rebellion, suicide is a sin against God. These are some of the reasons why suicide is wrong:
It violates the Ten Commandments.
Nowhere does the Bible condone a person ending life to escape circumstances.
Life is a gift from God.
Suicide is an expression of self-hatred, and the Bible says we are to "love our neighbors as ourselves."
Suicide usurps the power that belongs only to God.
A person who commits suicide short-circuits God's will for his or her life.
It is an expression of lack of faith. Philippians 4:19 states, "My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
This applies to financial needs and emotional and physical needs.
Suicide is an act of selfishness.
It hurts the cause of Christ.
If you have Jesus and are saved you can't loose your mind-they are still sinning
God bless!
Good question!

Those who are adamant that a person who takes his life is committing a mortal sin, and will go to hell, are basing their belief on church doctrine rather than on the Bible. Scripture is silent on the subject. There are no verses that say "He who takes his own life shall be damned." According to Scripture, only one sin does not have forgiveness, and that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. That means there is forgiveness for every other sin.
Some quote 1 Corinthians 3:17, which says that God will destroy someone who "defiles" the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yet, there is disagreement about what it means to defile the temple. Does this include suicide? Does it include illicit drug abuse (slow suicide), prescription drug abuse, cigarettes (deliberately breathing in poisons that will eventually kill), tattoos, over-eating (digging a grave with your spoon), or alcohol abuse?

Suicide is a mortal sin, from what I remember. Meaning that a person that committs suicide goes to hell.
But if that person is truly insane, then I would imagine God would be understanding enough to take that into consideration if the person was saved.
I;m not an expert or even very religious, but I'm 99% sure that is the correct answer.

Here's what I believe: They say suicide is an unforgivable sin. But like you said, a person must be so sick emotionally to do such a thing. Yes, I think that person would be forgiven. I think their soul would go to Heaven.

God knows your suffering, I feel that you will be forgiven for taking your life. But you must try to get help from a doctor or clergy. The church can pray for your needs and can support you in your time of need. Don't pay attention to that Godless idiot that was first to answer your question. You will find those ignorant jerks in this forum. They are the first to spill out their stupid poison. Most people believe in God, some people are just too arrogant to see the truth. A persons salvation cannot be taken away because you are suffering so much that you wish to die. Elijah suffered like that, he wanted to die, but God pulled him through.
The fool in his heart says, there is no God.

suicide is a big no-no. but you aren't held accountable if you have a mental/emotional disorder which causes it. thats not your fault. you need to do it in cold blood, for the sole purpose of sinning against G-d, in order to be held responsible. and unless somebody actually witnessed your suicide and saw that you did it in cold blood for the sole purpose of spiting G-d, then it is assumed you had a nervous breakdown and you aren't blamed for it.
here is an article about whether suicide victims can be buried with non-suicide victims that explains the biblical attitude towards suicide. don't go by the first pararaph though which seems harsh, you need to keep reading to get the actual view. http://www.askmoses.com/article.html?h=165&o=1311

I've done a lot of research on this subject, because it seems to be asked a lot in here, and I find a lot of references to suicide, but the Bible never really says one way or another definite about the subject.

Who cares? The Bible is a fiction. You have a brain. Use it.
I'm sure you can figure out for yourself the pros and cons of committing suicide. Don't let religion's spoon-fed worldview make you morally lazy. Just because an old book says so doesn't make it true.
