I have never had a flat stomach. There's always been a little weight hanging around there. I wear a size 0 pants, but because of my breasts and belly, I have to wear a medium top, just to give you all an idea. I've been told by exercise friends it's all the cokes and sweets I eat. Can someone help me with some great exercises, in addition to cardio to burn the weight?

If you have stubborn belly fat, the only way you can reduce your fat is by doing aerobic exercises. During activities like swimming, rowing and walking, enough oxygen is supplied to the body to burn fat. Fat is burned from all over the body, including the stomach. If aerobic exercises are done regularly over a period of time, you will gradually lose weight. The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height. Ensure that the energy provided by the food you eat matches the energy you burn performing your daily activities. Losing fat around the stomach takes time. My sister had this same problem, she struggled with it for years. She's very petite, 5'2" and about 105 pounds. She runs at least 5 miles a day, and does 500 crunches a night. But she still had a problem with her midsection. She finally decided to ask a doctor about it and they told her that there was absolutely no way she would ever be able to lose that area on her own. I can't remember the exact reasoning the Dr. gave her, but she had to have liposcution. She was told by several different doctors that this was the ONLY way she would ever lose that little bulge.

Even if ALL that you did was to give up soda completely, you will lose 5 to 10 pounds -- and that is without any alteration to your current activity. Replace soda with water, if you can't stand plain water, drink crystal light, or another NON-carbonated, sugar-free beverage. So, first do that. (Soda is just empty calories and just dumps that sugar in the form of fat around the belly.) Try that for two weeks and see what happens.
