i have forty bucks left on my paypal account.

i'm wondering what's the best thing i can buy online ---
with my own happiness, comfort, and security for the future taken into consideration.

my money situation is okay for now.
but my job sucks, so i know my bank account will die quickly as soon as i get back to school because of books and tuition....

still, it seems like even the worst off students have new clothes, ipods, cds, and everything. i rarely ever buy myself anything like that at all. i don't have a big movie collection in my room, or a tv, or a video game console. i'm still wearing clothes from grade ten.
how can those bums afford all that ****? assholes.

anyway, just curious about what you think i could spend that forty bucks on.
i like music, books, chess, chocolate, my little white dog, and doing stuff online.

thanks. :D

Tell you what. Go to ebay.com and bid for something that you think is gonna be useful for you. Like a few days ago, my dad won a bid on a brand new Epson Stylus CX4800--a printer, a scanner and a copy machine all in one! Plus there's this place where you could put in an SD card from your camera! Ain't that baby sweet? Anyway he got it for just $75.02 which cost him around $50 when the original cost would probably be close to $500. My point is, there is a good chance you will get something on eBay for that amount of money and yes they use PayPal.

Now what I think you could get yourself is shoes, a nice pair of jeans, or even a new cellphone (unless you don't have a company). Anything is possible. You can also get a camera... good thing to use for creating memories.

What else am I thinking... If you're into video games, you could get yourself a computer game for part of that money and a 15-dollar Extra card from GameStop which would get you free issues of the GameInformer--a great magazine to read about video games and technology. And well, you should enjoy being a geek =).

However, maybe the smartest choice would be to spend it on some study book or something... whatever would help you get better grades, cause you do want a good job in the future man, trust me. At least I know what I wanna be in the future... (I'll give you a hint: it starts with an archeo, ends with an ist and has a logo in the middle)

if you really have to spend it, make sure that you spend it on something that you will actually use. if you are expecting to be as strapped for cash as you say, use it for something useful, maybe school supplies or boring stuff like that. don't spend it just for the sake of spending money. i did that once with a gift card, and i am still regretting the unwise use of it. as long as the money won't disappear or have a service charge applied, let it sit until you have a use for it. there's nothing wrong with that!

Hope that this advice will help you out, and I am sorry about your job situation. If you can find another job, do it, even if the pay is less. if you like your job, you will have more potential to do well and so then you might get a raise. i had a dead end job for awhile, and due to the kindness of a friend, i now have a much better job, with slightly less pay, but alot less stress and frustration. best of luck to you!!!!
