You need to overcome that fear. Hear are some reasons to help convince you that it will be worth it...
1. There are many fish in the sea. If you don't take the initiative there is a good chance that he will find someone else.
2. It is incredibly hot/sexy/etc for a girl to make a first move. It shows the guy that you're confident and he won't be nervous around you.
3. Even if he doesn't like you, saying something gives you a better chance with other guys. If you are in middle/high school then getting your name out there will go a long way in attracting males. Trust me.
4. It shows CONFIDENCE. Confidence is the most attractive personality trait that a girl can have. There's a reason why girls that are the life of the party are the most sought after. And its not that they're the hottest. Most tens are uber self conscious and are too shy.
5. You may end up with a guy that you like. There aren't that many instances when this happens. By taking the initiative, you increase your chances tenfold.

You're scared to approach him coz you're unsure whether he likes you or not. Just be friends and find out more before you start telling him that you like him. What if he doesn't like you at all? You will be hurt, right? Be patient. Let nature take its course.If he's yours, he's yours.

Keep flirting with him. I hope he likes you. But one never knows. Be patient. And keep your eyes open for guys that DO like you. You never know who might be out there. Could be a guy you ignore. And he'll turn out to be your boyfriend.

write down wut u want 2 say then recite it and tell him. if ur not 2 good at memorizing then you could write a letter or a note and slip it in his locker or book or just give it 2 him. me? i'd go w/ the 2nd one.
