They do hurt i won't lie to you but, then i think any needle hurts ! LOL...I had one in my knee once and omg it was some of the worst pain Ive ever had they put it right in the bone too. It though only takes a second to get it and the results are great for like two or three months. So it is well worth it.

Apart from a little pain due to the needle, not it didn't hurt. I had a couple in my shoulder prior to having surgery for a torn rotator cuff.
Unfortunately it didn't help the pain very much so my doctor put me Vicodin or Percocet...one of the two...and that helped with the pain.

If they get right on the spot in can be painful but just for a minute. You'll get several weeks worth of relief from the shot...it's worth it.
I've had many in my back.

they do hurt but not as bad as I thought it would myself. might want to keep in mind you might gain weight with this shot cos it is a steroide( i think i spelled that right) I gained about 8 pounds shortly after I got my shot in my lower back
but as with everything it will affect people diffrent so you might want to ask you Doc. if you have any conserns

yes, cortizone shots do work, and yes it hurts (more of a presure feeling) I've had two in my left shoulder, but it is well worth it.

No, not really. The alleviation of pain is worth any small amount of discomfort you might feel momentarily.

I had to get in my butt once, and yes, it really hurt. In fact I remember it hurting for a few days.
