Yes, many times, AlHamdulillah. Mostly in Ramadan...Often, I listen to the Arabic and read the English translation...I've memorized almost all the Juz' 3amma, Yaseen, and bits and pieces of other longer surahs...

However, there are some verses that MUST be read in Arabic to get the full effect...Arabic is still so much more powerful than any English translation (interpretation) of the Qur'an.

English translations, or interpretations, of the Qur'an are sometimes too similar to the old English style in the Bible, and that's probably why you perceive it to be difficult. It doesn't flow well...

Wow! You have memorized the whole Bible? Or do you mean just parts of it?
I've read both the Qur'an and the Bible from cover to cover. I have read the Qur'an only in English translation, and the Hebrew Scriptures I read with both Hebrew and English. I usually just read the English and consult the Hebrew when there is a question. But in synagogue, I hear the Hebrew being read, while I follow along in English.
I wish I could speak Arabic. I love languages and religions!

Many times in Arabic (only a few times in English since I understand Arabic)

I'm trying to finish the Qur'an before Ramadan ends. I started on the eve of the third fast, and am on the 26th spaara. =)

I haven't memorized the Qur'an but I plan to learn to in the future. I applaud your conversion and your attempt to memorize the Qur'an. It isn't an easy task (since almost everyone of my relatives have it memorized), but then again the easy tasks aren't worth accomplishing.

Yes, I've also read the Bible as well.

I have read the Quran in Arabic cover to cover many times. I am from India, previously when I didn't know Quran meaning in Arabic I would also check the English translation by Yusuf Ali. His commentary is really helpful in understanding many verses. Later I decided to study Quran in Arabic using a dictionary and translation. First it was little difficult and after I completed few Juz, then my study gained momentum. Because Quran contains only very few root words, that is around 1900. so after you study few juz then frequency of newer words will reduce and you have to less often check the dictionary. I was able to complete my complete study of Quran in around 2 years. Now, I am happy I am able to understand the recitation.

Peace and Blessings to you.

I've read a few chapters of the Quran in English from respected sources. I'm not impressed. It's just another god superstition.
