I have lived a lot of different places, but by far the rudest place to me was FLORIDA!!! There are old people from all over the place that live there and seem to be the most ornery people ever! The friendliest place is right here in good ole Georgia where you have to drive with your hand at the top of the steering wheel to wave at everyone you pass.

The rudest people anywhere are the people who don't actually live there- tourists. I've had to deal with tourists a lot, having lived in NYC and Orlando, FL. If someone is travelling, and has a lot of money to spend, and will never see the person they're dealing with again- it's a bad combination. Then they turn around and act like you should be grateful they deigned to spend money in your community. For whatever reason, the most irritating seem to be wealthy and from Brazil.

This, by the way, is WHY the denizens of NYC have a bad rep. They're sick to death of tourists acting like they own the place. If you don't act like a tourist, they'll treat you all right.

i have never been to another country, but i have been many places in the US. i have met rude people EVERYWHERE. rude people are everywhere, just like there are some nice people. however, if i had to choose i would say the rudest city is Los Angeles! i have been there about a thousand times, but those people are SO rude. they're very stuck-up, cocky, and there RUDE drivers... i almost got in 3 accidents there (in one day)!also, the police department, sucks. i am from california, and i have to say that this whole state is full of rude people.

however, i would have to say that the nicest places are Georgia and Florida. Down in Georgia, everyone believes in Southern Hospitality, the locals are SO nice and friendly down there. as for florida, i know some people think floridians are rude, but in my opinion they are very friendly and down to earth.

but by far the most ******** state is my own : California.

aww, now i want to hop on a midnight train to Georgia ! ;D

I have travelled the world and met rude people everywhere I've ever been.

I have either lived in or at least visited every state in the United States and without a doubt the worst of all is Iowa.
In Iowa they are not only rude but inconsiderate, obnoxious, ignorant, self-righteous, two-faced and judgemental.
Anyone who has ever visited will tell you otherwise but they should only know what was said about them after they left.
I cannot begin to tell you how many tourists have left smiling but would have dropped dead had they been privy to the conversation following their departure.
Imagine living in Iowa with that knowledge. Take into consideration the vicious, unfounded assumptions they have about tourists and apply that to the gossip which circulates concerning those who live there.
Its rather disgusting- I've heard it all. In every level of society in both large and small communities in Iowa and in nearly every section of the state.
Rude doesn't begin to describe it.

i assumed before everything Italy replace into undesirable, yet I met a bunch of comics there. NYC is okay, anybody is friendly, even those that have eco-friendly hair and black clothing. that's a annoying call. in case you bypass to a place and meet one propose guy or woman, it does no longer propose that the the remainder of the situation is propose. possibly there is an internet survey someplace. I lived in Maui, the travelers are in many situations very rude! filled up! And there are matters with poluting and travelers who do no longer care approximately conserving the land. Commercialists are additionally taking on that island, i assume there dream is a concrete island, funds is extra significant. So the natives are very shielding of their island.

New York City, New York, but in defense of New York, it is a microcosm of the world, you see and eat and interact with everything that is the best and worst of all humanity. I have been there a couple times and thought they were all rude, when I worked for a company that brought me into phone contact with many New Yorkers, many had the greatest hearts of anyone I know, since it is so diverse, it's really hard to say.

I see the theme. I also agree. Maybe it is because of all the cold weather they get in hose upper states? And go figure I married one from the cold states lol. But he is military and has not lived in his home town for 20 yrs. He has been in the GOOD OLD SOUTH, where people are nice and inviting and love to treat you like family. :o)

i have been every where and i never met any rude people. some of the country i have visited were not rude, they just don't know how to approach or speak english to other people than their own. so maybe that is just a mis-communication or mis-understanding. i could imagine i will be the same if im not familiar with what you are saying, i will be totally lost.and other may assume that im rude or vice versa..
